Are the dip switches for the adjustment of the multiplier? If your cpu is locked then there will be no manipulation of the multiplier, right? So why did they even put those dip switches there?

I have a question along these lines. I have a XP2600(thoroughbred) and I am able to adjust the multipliers up to 12.5. Any higher and they just dont work. Anyone know why I cant increase the multis past 12.5?

Kikaida2003, yes, my baton is unlocked:p

Phoenix87, I think that all AMD Processors are now multiplier locked :( but you can uprise FSB frequency :)

LOL

My processor is about 10 months old, and since I can change the multis from 11 to 12.5 I dont think its locked.
