Windows PA Fooling: Just a Coincidence?

I was just wondering if anyone has had this little anomaly happen to them. I install XP on one machine and activate it. I then take that same cd and product key... (which only has 1 license) and install on another machine with all the hardware being different from the original machine EXCEPT for the same amount of RAM. I run the activation, and it activates fine... Has anyone else run into this "oddity'?

Home or Pro?

you can take windows xp and install it on 100 totally different computers with the same Product key and it will be successfull only because it doesnt connect to the net while it register it connect with the installation...get what im sayin
