I just threw the UV lights in there to check it out...The door does not have a window.

That is the reason for the rats nest of wires on the bottom right of the case.

Here the original thread Link (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=278263)

Just might have to get me a door with a window in it...:burn:

You know, I read the other post, and a lot of folks were like, "whoa, the colors!" LOL. And I was kinda the same way... I wasn't sure if the "rainbow" effect looked right or not.

Then I saw this thread... and I must admit, it looks KILLER. Totally different look in the dark with the UV going. Wow. If you don't have a window on that case, you definitely need one. I think it's sweet!

Cool man, not bad!

Now you just need a drop of LSD and you're off to god-knows-where :p

Well actually LSD did not enter into the color scheme.

I just wanted to check out Vantec's UV sleeving...And get some much needed practice sleeving.

My findings are that the TechFlex is a much better product...But you gotta love the 9.25 dollar price tag from Directron for the Vantec kits.

Still cannot get the hang of the P4 and 20pin ATX power connectors...Or the connectors on the UV lights.

Probably sell this case and power supply to a buddy and get the ViewPlus...Makes more sense than paying 27.00 dollars for just a windowed door.

LOL...That is okay...One more time and I should have converting the Antec cases to 92m/m fans with just side cutter pliers, flat, rat tailed file and a drill down to a science...Took me about 2 hours the last time.

So what type & size of techflex did you use?

Well my first order from performance-pc consisted of 10' of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 of the TechFlex...In UV red, UV blue and what I thought was another UV blue.

I looked at the pics of the heatshrink and thought that they were individual pieces and order ten of each...Ended up with 10' of regular heatshrink. Here is a link to what I was looking at

heatshrink (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=44_33&osCsid=112bd4a9ca0004f8e48a43f1745982bb) I called them up and they acted like it was no big deal...I missed the whole "price is by the foot" business.

I called them and after much complaining and having to talk to a "supervisior" he told me that I could RMA the heatshrink.

Told them that I thought they should change the way they present the heatshrink...Guy was none to friendly and very testy over the phone...Had to tell him "I have 10 foot of sleeving and 10 foot of heatshrink"....WTF??? Yeah like I am gonna heatshrink the entire length of sleeving.

Very poorly packaged...The heatshrink was all wadded up in a ball except the 1/2"...Kinked with flat spots in it that makes it a pain in the butt to work with...If I did not have so much money invested in it I would throw it in the trash.

Just a word of caution about the way the heatshrink appears on their website...Thought I had stumbled on to something that would cover the molex connector and wires...WRONG !!!!

Just chalked it up to experince and will be even more careful from now one when ordering online.

Expensive lesson...

:o

Here is a picture of my P4 box with the Vastech dual 12" UV lights and the Flextech UV sleeving.
