Ok....T-Bird 1.2Ghz @1.4Ghz running at 40C idle. room temp say 20 - 25C..friggin summer :-) Anyways before i got my Maze 2 i figured i wasn't getting any lower temps because my maze 1 wasn't tight enuf. But even with my maze 2 fully screwed down thats the temp i get. I know its not flow rate....i have a Mag Drive 5 pump. Running it with a Rez. I check the flow rate from time to time and its excllent. So i the only thing i see being the prob is my water cooling method. I have an Aqua Cube with a 120mm fan blowing through it. I have the fan spaced about 4 inches away, which was suggested on this page. Now my Rez is the lowest point on this system. Then comes my cube and then my cpu. Am i expecting to much from water cooling and these temps being ok?? Or do i have reason to worry?? All help would be nice

I think your temps are quite high, I run the same CPU at the same speed, and it gets 45 degrees max(loaded) with air cooling ...

i dont know if your aqua cube is like the DD cooling cube, but if it is, i dont see any way it's gonna effectively push air thru the box from 4 inches away.

my dd cooling cube has a 120mm fan mounted DIRECTLY onto the cube itself, leaving NO air gap inbetween, and forcing the air to go thru the fins and over the copper tubes.

using this method, i added a rheostat to the 120mm fan blowing on the radiator, and i can turn it all the way down(runs nearly silent) and still get excellent temps.

the way i see how well my radiator is working, i take temp measurements of the air going INTO the radiator (usually 75 deg) and then measure the air coming OUT the backside (usually 80+ even when idleing).

also, i use the order pump (submersed in res), cpu, radiator, res

hope this helps
