i recently purchased a gigabyte GA-7N400-L
i was going to overclock my new 2500+ last night but i couldnt find the mutliplier in the bios
i tried updating the bios but i still couldnt find one
anyone know what i should do?

to change the multi look in the book there are a set of switches at the top of the board that have to be switched, there factory set to default multi.

only thing is it the chip is a newer locked chip , there is nothing you can do to change the multi

if you know what are the stepings on the chip

i really dont know what the steppings are but ill check the next time i use that pc which wont be till like friday

there on the top of the chip so if is installed then dont take it out

just try and change the multi if it boots and runs then your all good

if its locked it wont boot then clear the Cmos and have the multi set to auto

stock multi for you 2500 s 11 which is the same at the 3200 only dif is the 3200 has a 400 FSB and the 2500 has a 333

good luck with it
