What is the best way to clean off a drive and reinstall windows 98? I know I should get my drivers and software together first and backup my filez. .but should I reformat the partition (C:) or just erase everything on it.. Will I need a boot disk?

it will depend on your computer

I have done fresh installs with and with out a boot disk using Win98SE

though I would suggest getting one from www.bootdisks.com

also any network drivers you must get before hand, 98 does not have alot in the way of Nic default drivers

Good idea.. thanks. My computer is ..interesting and I am not worried about NIC drivers. THis is for my home [dial-up] compster.
