ok I have a DI-624 REV B wireless router, and i was browsing there site the other day and i saw there was a firmware upgrade from 54mbps to 108 so i upgraded the drivers on my wireless PC card (the model escapes me but its the only PC card in the extreme G family, and it is a Rev B as well). Then i upgraded the firmware on my router and now its not working right...

I keep losing the connection on my wireless card, i have reinstalled the drivers several times on the computer with the wireless card... at times varying from 5 to 25 minutes io lose the connection and must hit refresh on the advanced tab of the two computer screens icon to get it back, its really getting to be a problem with my online gaming...

I have removed WEP and any other (just went out) protection or something that would seem to makew it cut out, I have this computer set to a DMZ...

Can someone help me here?

How far away is the access point from the computer?

What is the signal stregnth?

If you set the router/computer down to 54mbps again how does it work?

Speed is inversely proportionally to range. As you go higher is speeds your range decreases. Also the reverse, as your range increase your speed decrease.

i was wondering about that... The touter is in the basement and I am presently on the second floor, so probably staright through the walls about 50 feet, but about 250 walking... I tried turning off "turbo mode" but the little screen icon still says 108 mbps and the little bar graph thing that is the dlink program is all green so when i get the connection it is full strength It just goes off, and it doesnt help without turbo mode....

I think i need to uninstall the firmware for it to get rid of the 108 mbps thing but i dont know how... and it said on the website this new thing uses two way radio waves so maybe that has something to do with it...
