Stupid question about UV

Are all Cold Cathode lights UV?

I have the Nexus 305 Fan controller, with 2 blue CCFL's. If I get UV reactive tubing and such - will these lights allow the UV reactive parts to glow?

I feel dumb.

Some colored CCFLs give off a little UV, but its not much and probably wont make anything glow. If you want stuff to glow, get a UV CCFL.

Ok, so im not so stupid.

I was thinking there were UV CCFL's as well as normal ones. Im pretty sure mine are normal - gonna have to check the vantec site.

oblivi0n the ones that come with the 305 are just plain blue CCFL's. I use 2 Vantec Spectrum UV Cold Cathode's with my 305 for the reactive look.

Test the reactivity first. Blue gives off a little UV light also.
