Computer Speakers or Reciever?

I was thinking about getting Klipsch 2.1 Promedias. I have a sony 2 channel reciever with some old Boston acoustics hooked up to them. The quality of the speakers arent very good but I use them for the rear channel in games. I guess I am looking for suggestions on a sound system.

A reciever/ speaker combo has the potential to sound much better than the promedias, but it would have to be pretty decent. IMHO I would look at your local classifieds for some used speakers. You can find some pretty good deals and it could end up being cheaper and at least as good sounding as the Klipsches. Ebay is also an option. The easier route would be to just get the promedias though, they will be sure to sound pretty good, and will be less "space intesive" (smaller :))
