if i put a double heatercore on the top of a case with a whole in the top of the case would it be better to pull in air and have it exhausted out through the psu or would it be better to just pull the air out through the heater core outside of the case or should i just stick with a single heater core and mount it in the front

If you are set on mounting your 2 HC at the top of your case, then I suggest you pull air out through them. I don't think its a gud idea to me sucking air in through the top because lots of little things can get into your case that way, not just dust. As for whether 2 cores or 1, depends on your needs.

if i pull air out wouldnt that effect temps since it will be warm air

If you got a case with good airflow, it won't make much of a difference if any. That's how I got mine mounted and I didn't see a difference either way except the warmer case temps.
