I need help with my GA-7DPXDW-P and trying to run a LSI21320-IS ultra 320 PCI-X card with a Fujitsu MAP3367NP 36.7GB U320.
All I can do is see the card and set it up for the HDD, format the HDD, and get to the first part of the windows load; loading SCSI drivers (running from the windows CD) after it’s done preloading windows it restarts and locks up, and that’s it. :bang head
Thing I'm wondering is if it's the LSI chip set, I have read a few posts about the 760 and the LSI not working well together. Also the card is a Dell but I have both sets of drivers (LSI and Dell)
I also would like to know if anyone else is running SCSI U320 with AMD dualy and if so what cards you use and any problems and possible solutions you guys have had or know of.
Thanks,
Stedeman

I used that card, for a short while, on a K7D. I didn't have any problems, except they don't have drivers, for that card, for Windows 98, which I was dual booting, at the time.
Did you make a driver floppy and load the drivers at the beginning of the Windows Setup? (Press F6 to load....)
I'm currently running an LSI U160 card and it has been working great for about a year.

Yes and it loads the rest of the windows set up after that, then reboots and thats it. Why did you switch cards?

Hope this works. It is a compatability chart for PCI scsi and Ide cards.

That's cool but it's doesn't not have much for 320 cards :( and worse mines not on there.

I switched, because I needed to be able to dual boot 98 and XP and the 320 card didn't have drivers for 98, so 98 ran in "Compatibility Mode" which screwed up performance. I just sent that card back and got the much cheaper and more compatible U160 card, which has worked perfectly, ever since.

It feels great.
I think my upgrade to 15K SCSI was one of the best upgrades I ever did.

Bump for help :)
Have you tried the drivers for the other NT based OSs? I've had some RAID cards that accepted only drivers for XP in 2000 OS loads. It behaved very similarly to what you described prior to installing different drivers.

In both sets of drivers (Dell~LSI) it's the same 2000/XP
