View Full Version : How come I get a "**** yellow" flashing screen?
I have a pent III 1Ghz on a Be6-II the BUS is at 132, 512 mb of RAM, Nvidia TNT2, 8X mult? .... yimmer yammer jibber jabber.....
anywhoo.... during boot up just before the ME splash screen and immediately after... When the black screen shows all the IRQ and IDE, **** etc...... It flashes **** yellow! It eventually boots.... but it is just really annoying......
Oh and one more thing....... can i change the multipier on my cpu??? I want to get it higher than 1 Ghz...... It is on an ASUS Slotket.....

First, you might wanna change the topic name to urine-colored, lest you wish to attract an unhappy moderator. :)
I don't know anything about why it would do that, but I would make sure the monitor cord was properly tightened into the vid card. This might be a question you wanna post separately in the Video section... this will also attract unhappy moderators since they've been posting topic FAQs all day.
Regarding the CPU, no, you can't change the multiplier. That's not me saying it, it's our buddies at Intel. You'll have to play with the FSB to OC that one. I think it's actually more fun this way... we get to burn up PCI devices like nobody's business! :D
I also noticed in your post that you're at 132. If this isn't a typo, change it to 133. This is default. You should have fun with that CPU. I've seen good numbers, but the high FSB makes it not as "impressive" an OC as the 66 or 100. Good luck with it.
