Welcome to the forums! I'm thinking it's either cooling, or the ram. You have a good fan, but a better heatsink, such as the Gladiator, would help. Have you tried overclocking that high with the multiplyer instead of the fsb?

Welcome to the Forum

Perhaps you have reached near the FSB limit of your system in its current configuration.
I generally obtain a GPF's when I have my Vcore or IO set incorrectly.
What FSB x multiplier are you using,
What is the GPF statement ?

Hi,
I'm getting varios GPF's sometimes b4 windows (98se) loads sometimes after loading. Multiplier x10.5 fsb153

I've tried changing the Multiplier to x12 with 133 fsb and again getting various GPF's

Thanks:(

It might be a voltage situation, have you tried to increase the voltage to the CPU ?

there are also minor situations with this mobo that are reported on the front of overclocker.com and ive pasted it below

Epox 8K7A Problems Steve alerted us to some people having stability problems with this board - Some of these issues are discussed Here (http://www.amdworld.co.uk/8k7aisue.htm) . Update: You may also want to look at the initial comments Here (http://www.amdmb.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=49523</b>) , too.

Hope this helps

I wouldn't say not a chance. When you get into high overclocks, sometimes a cpu will get picky with temps. And I forgot to ask, where did you take the temps, and was it at full load?

Seen as I am the person that sold you that CPU I'd like to say that I think you have got a bargain! And oh yes.....your warranty now sucks YeeeeHarrrrr :o)

I just lurve the overclockers...

You are doing better than me - my 1.3 just played havoc with my Epox 8KA7 system. Out the Epox hun and stick in a Microstar KT7266 Pro like I did - WOW, what a difference !!! My system is stable and cool and I now lurve MSI, the others can go suck.

Everyone talks about cooling and rightly so. I was just wondering what OS you using ? I also agree perhaps you have reached the limt of what the OS can take in the Overclock. In my personal experience using ME or Above help stablize things nicely.

Hi,
CPU temp at 40 degrees after playing quake for the last 2 hours. 38 degrees in bios. Now running stable at 1.610, with 19.2 voltage for the cpu.

I'm going to try for 1.7 this afternoon, will let you know how i get on.

OS - Windows 98se
