mobo is a msi kt4v-l
2x256 ram ddr333/ddr266
at my current speed the cpu is @49c

What is the voltage that you're using. What's the heatsink?

166 X 15 is too much. that's almost 2.5ghz.

i'm at full volt (1.750) and some cooler master

I would try 1.8vcore and watch the temps carefully.
If you want to further OC you will probably need more voltage, and therefore better cooling.

1.750vcore is as high as i can go w/o modding
