Hi everyone
I plan on selling my Shuttle SN41G2 XPC barebone probably in the classifieds within the next few days.

This would leave me with the following parts:
Athlon XP 1800 Thourghobred
2x 256MB PC2700 Crucial RAM
Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM HD
PNY GeForce4 MX 420 (from other comp.)
and some other stuff that doesn't really matter

I need to buy a motherboard, case, powersupply and CPU heatsink/fan.

For my motherboard I'm thinking about the Abit NF7 because that seems to be a favorite around here for overclocking. Should I buy the -S or -M version instead for $20 more?

For the case I'm thinking about an Antec SX635BII (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-125&depa=0) (comes with 350W PSU)

I'm not sure what to get for a heatsink. I will be doing some overclocking. I'm willing to spend up to $50 on it. Also should I use the thermal goop that comes with the heatsink or should I buy some AS 5?

Thanks for reading this and please tell me what you think. I'm hoping to almost break even selling/buying.

Go ahead tell me what you think about it. I really need some advice. I think I'll be buying the NF7-S instead of the NF7 so I won't have to upgrade in a while.

Are you talking about the NF7 or NF7-S? And what do you (and anyone else) recommend for a heatsink/fan.

For a heatsink get a Thermalright sp-97 or whatever version is for AMD.:o

I personnaly like Antec cases, but some think they are a bit ugly. That PSU should be enough for your system. I've been running on my 430W Antec PSU for two years and have not had any power problems.

NF7-S. I got the SP-97 and I don't necessarily regret it, I just don't know if it's worth the $20 more than a 947-u.

If you think you'll be upgrading to a Serial ATA hard drive within the life of your motherboard than get the NF7-S. Otherwise get the normal NF7.

I fully support the choice of the Abit NF7-s. It has a lot of features excellent overclocking and a solid company behind it. The entire line of Thermalight heatsinks are very strong( )The url iis a GREAT review. Any of the top thermalight's are strong just chose the best you can afford and select the fan that moves the most cfm of air that isn't too loud for you.(SP-97 is a great unit.)
edit: the Abit NF7-s is a very good price and the SLk-900 is a great price!!- http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/socketA.asp ( http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/socketA.asp

I will toss in another vote for the NF7-S and the SP-97. I haven't had the combo for very long but so far they are working out great. I have done a mild overclock and the SP-97 is providing great temps with crappy air flow in the case and a crappy 80mm fan. I think it is well worth the extra $20.

Now my list is the following:

Abit NF7-S
Antec SX635BII case
ThermalRight SP-97
Thermaltake 80mm Smart Fan 2
Arctic Silver 5 - 3.5 grams

How do you like those choices, especially the fan? I be buying them off ExCaliberpc.com Also, is there any coupon codes or anything you guys know about.
