Deal has ended. It's Dead.

While it's technically not a cyber deal because it's instore only, it's still a great bargain.

Circuit City, instore only, WDC1600JBRTL is $19.99 after $90 rebates, rebates end Sunday so you've only got 2 days to act on this one, and dont forget youve gotta get there before they run out of stock :)

This is the 8mb cache model, 160 GB for $19.99.

Deal shamlessly found on fat wallet forum, here is the link:

Damn, wrong thread, can someone move this to cyberdeals?

Nice deal! I already have an 80GB, though, so no more storage needed. Also, I contacted a mod for you so this post can be moved. (EDIT: That was fast! Thanks Eoboard!)

Ok, I just got back from Circuit City. Store shelf showed the price was 159.99 before rebates, but the casheir scanned the box and I paid 109.99 plus tax, the the deal is real.

2 rebates printed out totaling $90.

My final price with tax=$117.96-$90 rebates=$27.96!!

Again, this deal expires on Sunday and is not available on line.

I went to CC today to check it out because I purchased this harddrive earlier this week at the regular price $159.99 - rebates. First of all they didn't have it. Second the guy said the regular price was $159.99 :( Maybe I should've tried to pricematch at the register anyways?

Nope, their computer would have scanned it at the 109.99 price.

It's a price mistake that only shows in the check out register. The shelf price at my store showed 159.99 but I paid 109.99

Go find another store that has them in stock!!

Taken from another unnamed forum:

went to local cc (pontiac, MI). harddrive was out of stock....special ordered it and said will pay the full amount...the receipt showed 109.99 and two rebates for $90 printed out...
it was that easy

I got greedy and bought two, they were out of order but special order took care and finally $109-$90MIR= $20.00......what a steal...

yeah, I kinda wished I had known that before I drove over to Circuit City. It was only like a 3 mile drive, but still a useless one. The salesperson acted like a stuck up a**hole too. I asked him if they had that model number and he said it was sold out. When I asked if I can get it on back order, he said, "yes, but I don't see why you would want to seeing how the sale has ended yesterday." Then, since I had him there and will be building a system for my father, I asked if they had any cases with power supplies over 400W. He said the Antec Sonata did and when I told him that it came with a 380W psu, he said the box was wrong and that I should get the sonata.

Of course, I was planning on ordering a Sonata from newegg before, but I didn't want some guy lying to try to get me to buy it.

I drove 30 minutes to find out it wasn't good anymore :(

What happened was their week long deal was the drives were $70 after rebates. Then they had another weekend only rebate for $50. You can still get the $50 weekend rebate, but not the other mail in and instant rebates.

I just have bad luck. I missed the 80GB drives for 20 dollars by an hour. Now I missed the 120GB deal. I should just give up on trying to get cheap hard drives.

Sry guys, the last info I had said the deal was good till Sunday, apparently I was misinformed.
