Unquestionably the 9800. Here's a benchmark.

9800>9600

I don't even own my ATI card yet, but that's an easy one.

The 9800PRO is the next best card on the planet, other than the 9800xt.

The 9800PRO is better by a wide margin, laterz!

The r9600 is about half of the speed of the r9800. You dont need the extra ram, especially not with a budget card.

Funny, I recently sold my 9600XT to buy a 9800. Yes the 9800pro is way faster!

Thanks for all the input guys the reason i was worried was cuz i saw that the 9800pro has a smaller frequency in the core (380) as opposed to the 9600XT (500) however i noticed the 9800 pro has a faster memory (680) than the 9600XT (600)....

The 9800's core and ram are also twice as fast per clock as the 9600's.
