Ok need fast help please! I biuld a p4 2.8C HT OC to 3.6 system and now that everythings is stable now it's time to FOLD!!!

But I have a problem, I'm unable to start two instance of folding. Here is what I did:

install folding 4.0 client(graphical) to c:\program files\folding@home
and install another one to c:\program files\folding@home2

I start one folding...it is ok, but I'm unable to start the second I get a error msg saying that there is already one client running....

what did I missed?

and also put all the flags and also -local on the two instance.

And I know the one click install exist for dually, but I can't use I as a service because I'm on dial-up...

Did you set the machine id to 2 for the second client?

double check to make sure, I tried this once but it kept resetting the machine id, was kinda annoying, if the setting is holding, ya got me

do you need two procs to do two instances?

No you do not need 2 procs.

BTW my problem was that I was trying to run two instance with the graphical client.

I switched to the console and all was good!

I did it buy installing 1 instance from the stanford site and the other from wedo's one click.

^ I agree, that's what I'm using. It's nice because it runs completely in the background as a service (well two services actually). No annoying unneccesary tray icons.
