how much could i exspect to pay for a new 939 mobo/cpu that will be good for overclocking? and will i need new ram or anything like that?

$100 to $200 for a mobo with the CPU's starting at $218 ranging up to $300+ (3100+, 3300+, 3500+, 3700+; 1.8ghz to 2.4ghz resp.)

Um, well all I can tell you is expect prices simular to the prices of the Athlon64 line. With the benefit of the new socket 939, your getting dual channel memory :D

yay, i hope those prices are goin to be right :) i got ~500$ ive been saving up and was goin to get a new mobo for my current rig but decided to save up and get a bigger upgrade.

$500 should be enough for for a good cpu/mobo combo.. well at least sometime soon
no 3700+ on a 939, maybe the 3800+ is what you were thinking. they may not even have the 3100+ or 3300+... it al depends we will have to wait until we get some release dates from cebit i hope ;)

So you should be able to use the same Dual channel (non-ECC, Non-Registered) RAM that we use in the Socket A motherboards in the new 939 boards?
