If my P3 isn't a S-spec, and it was a Q-spec, QM50ES

Can anyone give me anyinformation on this chip or where I could find info on it?

From what I've found the Q-spec Pentium III's are different than the S-spec ones in that they are "qual parts" and they do NOT have a locked clock mulitiplier like the S-spec's do. Appearantly the Q-spec parts are not production parts which is why the multiplier isn't locked but rather are sample chips provided to OEM's for prerelease testing. When the finalized processor is fabbed it is given an S-spec.

Hope this is somewhat helpful...
