I have a pretty good p3 heatsink/fan and I have no real use for it anymore but would it be a good idea to maybe slap it on the northbridge? Its kind of big though would it like crush it? Also would using artic silver II help? Or then again would I need like some epoxy to hold it on? Its a fat heatsink :D

those p3 heatsink are usually pretty big and heavy so would need some really strong epoxy to hold it on the northbridge. as2 would help. if you are carefull, like you should with every component of a pc, it's impossible to crush your nbridge. i don't know and heaven't heard of anyone who destroyed a mobo by crushing the nbridge.

Its pretty easy to crush a P4 (850) northbridge...the sink that comes on them is quite upto teh jon for now though.

it's always a good idea to get your Nbridge temps down!:) the cooler the Nbridge the more stable the AGP, RAM, and CPU. also a good thing to look into is cooling the Sbridge, I found that this can increase FSB overclocking becuase it limits the need for a higher divisor. Sbridge is very sensitive to temps and when overheated can cause all hell to break loose:rolleyes:
