boot problems

HI i am using xp pro and as of late have had a few problems. When i got home the other day my screen was blue and had an error something like "termination faliure your computer is shut down" or along those lines. I can now only get it to boot up if i load up "last working version" in the selection where safe mode is located. Every time i restart it hold on the welcome screen and then the blue screen will come up.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried a system restore?

seems alot of people have been getting this problem the past week or so, i am one of them. but if u look in this forum, this has been posted like 10 times lol

but before anything try the system restore and/or recovery as ElGriton recommended
