SUWIN error in WIN 98 setup!!!!

I just built a system... a Pent III 1Ghz.... and when I am installing WIN 98 I get an SUWIN error!!! and ME just screws up beyond belief!!! HELP!

check to see that your ram isnt faulty
i had the same problems,couldnt get win98 or ME on
but i found out it was a bad stick of memory
and walla,presto it went first time

I got it working.... i just copied all teh setup files to my hdd first and then ran setup... i think there is a prob with my cd rom.... thanks

Monitor that system carefully. SUWIN errors come from dead or dying CPUs. I have seen this WAY too many times.

I have to agree about CPU or Bad Memory Sticks they go out when you think least likely.

Check that the mobo has virus detection disabled too. Chances of getting Win loaded with it enabled are close to nil.
