How to replace ME with 98se?

How can I go back to 98se? do I have to format the whole drive to do it right? I want ME outta here... BTW how do I get into the CLI with ME? It wont let me restart in DOS.... ? thanks Jim

To get the CLI (as neuterd as it is) go to start, run, type "command"

You should be able to install 98se over ME but for the sake of bugs and a nice fresh install, I would suggest doing that "format thing" that you really don't want to do.

It's the best way to assure no problems with gremlins that might remain if you were to install over ME.

yes i agree, do a full format and what i remember when i did the same thing was you need to choose the option minimal boot to allow it to work [dunno why?]
