I had an Antec True430w, and it burnt out on me. I came home one day to find my room smelling of smoke. I can only imagine what had happened as I was at work...

Since I've emailed Antec 3 times, with no response, and called them about warranty replacement with no answers throughout the day/night, I'm about to just buy a new one. 5 days of waiting for contact from them is just insane!

I don't know anything about Power Supplies, so you can guess going to Newegg and looking around puzzled me further. 430w PSUs ranged from $30 - $150.

Will someone find me a link to a reliable, lower costing 400/430w PSU? I need some guidance!

Thanks

This is the only link you need for power supplies.

http://www.pcpowercooling.com/home.htm

My wife's computer: Abit NF7, CDROM, GeForce4 128 MG, 1 Gig. 2100 Ram, XP1800+ not overclocked, intake fan, exhaust fan, cpu fan, floppy drive, WD 60 Gig 7200 rpm, Maxtor 10 Gig.
All this is folding 24/7
Powered by a 3 year old PC Power & Cooling Silencer 275 ATX

Works!!! Its been running that configuration for at least 3 months now.

See my sig. for my current system and PSU in my main rig.

And the 510 ATX Deluxe is awesome. Fan is a little on the loud side.

All can say that PC Power & Cooling stuff is expensive, and it is, but their products are second to none.

I have never had bad experience with Antec and have always gotten a response witin 1-2 days after leaving a message or emailing them. Though I am a little hesitate to recommend them to friends since I been having problems with one of their PSU. Their true power is okay but if it can not power a CPU, MOBO, ram and a 5900 then there is something wrong.

I have recently been researching and although the antec is a decent PSU the best of the best is PC power and cooling PSU and a close second is the Zalman 400W silent PSU

Anything else is okay

I am partial to Fortron (Sparkle) myself. My FSP530 gives me all the power i need, and lots of room for upgradability.
