my bloody headache is killing, im sure the delta fan syndrome is a chinese conspiracy to rule the world. Its not the noise is the frequency thats the killer. However i have managed to bring it down to about 35dbs not bad as its a 38cfm fan, firstly using the silicon trick detailed on this site. The second way is sound deadening! as i do ice installs for myself and freinds i had a fair amount of a product called DYNAMAT supreme left over, so i thought what the hell try some in the case directly in line with the fan, the disadvantage is that it does transfer sound waves into heat but very negliable amounts, it took the volume down surprisingly......i have also seen a american site using an inline rheostat to reduce the fan speed..does anyone no if they are available in the uk.
