I can't get a post when i use 3:2 ratio!

hey guys, i cant seem to get a post when i put the fsb/ddr ratio at 3:2, no matter what speed their at. I've been running the cpu at 3.1ghz with no problems, using the 5:4 ratio. I know thats pushing the ram kinda high, so i want to use the 3:2 timing, but it wont work. am i overlooking something here?

what type of ram do you have kingston, corsair???what??
