Cool but still someone asked if it was safe to say it would come out before 2006 and he said that he couldnt say anything because its not safe enough... I think they are stupid cause thats bull**** 8 years of developpment. Haha!!!

I visit their forum about twice a week, just catch up on stuff. I think the game is going to be released at the end of this year, or at the latest Q2 of next year. GB has been talking a lot more now about features, and even started a thread on extra interactivity people would like to see in the game. To me it seems like most of the work now is content. I also remeber him saying that they will start releasing details of the game and advertising 6 months before the release. So basically when your see screen shots and videos, 6 months after we should have DNF. Unless they decide to rehaul ANOTHER engine.

Haha if they start another engine Ill seriously cry, that would be totally stupid i mean the game must look great after 7 years of development. But i only want to say that I saw a movie like 2-3 years ago and its still not out so...

do you know what will be really odd, is when it finally comes out its probably gonna need countless patches for countless bugs :santa2:
that movie ruled, I think they could release whatever they had with that now and do fairly well with it as long as its got the classic duke tongue and cheek

I was in middle school when i heard about Duke ForNever, now im halfway through college, haha.
It's never coming out. They dont even have a game, its all a lie. The movie was a CGI cutscene fake, the engine changes are fake. Lies, Lies I tell you!
I like George's one quote though, "it costs nothing to wait", which is basically the truth. I take things like this at face value, I'd like to think they're being honest, and it really does seem as if they are based on how they are responding to the various questions..
I'm kind of surprised that they've chosen to stick with the original Unreal engine.
Well they are using the unreal engine, but its a newer build. Just like unreal 2 used the original engine, but us a newer build. George stated in a post that they had to rewrite a majority of the engine b/c they needed it to support a better skeletal system. If I remember right, he said DNF will look nothing like unreal 2 since they ended up throwing most of the code out and only the netcode remains unchanged.
