if i try to up the fsb ,after reboot it comes up as 1123mhz [1.2 axia "c"] play with the multiplyer which the options are enabled in bios [kk266] but again in reboot comes up as 1123. at default though it will run at 1200,so does this sound like an locked cpu as the warranty sticker is on the l1 bridges[ they try to be clever dont they?].................................................. ...........
just like chip'n a car! once they find the seals tampered with then thats it. in my country just to try to get product support for anything imported is a nightmare so @#$%^ the warranty & clock that sucker! before I forget I am not responsible yada yada yada...

Hmmm they might have unlocked your chip thats why they put a sticker over the bridges.. unless the core says 1200. You should be able to get 1.2Ghz if you payed for it. Btw it should run @ 1.75 volts or around 1.75-1.81v.Remove the sticker and if you ever have to return it tell them AMD themselves said to remove the sticker because it can cause the processor to overheat. When I told amd I had a sticker on my processor they made me remove it immedieatly.

i agree, remove the sticker and make sure the L1s are connected. if not connect them...stickers on L1 is not good

no worries, i will remove it but judging my my explanation of whats happening i.e when i try to up the FSB or even the multiplyer it goes back to 1123 on the IWILL and 1116 on the Abit ,so does this sound like its locked? im gonna pull it out tonight and see after i rip the crappy sticker off [ anyway im of the opinion that cpu's should be pushed so warranty is usually not an issue, as i once said b4 ,when we take our cars to the performance shop to do up our engines, we dont ask how many miles we can get out of it do we? we just work its ass off !
thanks for the ideas and let me know if it sounds like its locked...........................................
