As I'm still a n33b to pelt / tec cooling, I am looking for a way to keep it from getting to cold. Yep that's right to cold. I have three different mobos:
A7A266
A7M
Shuttle 32
and want to try my water / pelt rig on all without going through the 2 day process of insualting the thing everytime I change mobos.
Even on my normal A7A266 system which is condensation-proof (I hope), I'd like to have some type of Hardware to keep the system at ambient.
I've purchased a humidity gauge, and it has staeyed at a constant 56% in my corner of the house, so I know that condensation is on the way.
Sooo, how 'bout it guys, wanna help a good 'ol southern Oclocker?;)

Thanks!

How about a temperature probe whose output goes through an op-amp. The output of the op amp is applied to the "sense" terminals of a psu and used to control it's output voltage which is then applied to your TEC.

As the temp rises the psu output falls causing a reduction in current to the pelt and hence an increase in temp of the cold plate, thus maintaining a constant difference between ambient and your case. That way it won't cool too much and cause condensation.

Don't try and control the TEC temp by on/off methods as this will not work as well as reducing/increasing the voltage/current and may well lead to premature failure of the TEC.

I have a peltier controller on my system that keeps the cold plate at 19C.

I have written an article which I sent to Ed last week which goes into more details.

Edit: Pictures dont come up! Taken them out.

any idea when we'll get to see the article? Would you mind posting a few snippets for me?
I spent loads of time sealing my A7A266 and then fried it (I think still working with it), but I'd like to go ahead and try the shuttle and A7M mobos to determine which is better for me, without doing 2 days worth of "sealing"
Thanks for any help you can offer!

There are a few pictures of the controller here.
