and how long have you been running it? the reason i ask is that 2.0V gives me P95 stable settings @ 200x13 and 213x12...but i know that most don't go above 1.9 on air...should i go back to 1.95V or stay at 2.0? MBM5 reads 2.01....load temp is 51-52C/idle temp is 45-46C.

Those are decent temps for 2v imho. I don't see much of a problem if you're running stable and regularly under 55-60c
Those are good temps for 2.0 Vcore. I'd say you're safe.
Many will not, however.

yeah, i know the party line is 2.0+ should be on H2O but i'm not ready to go there yet...i figure this chip "should" last til the end of the year (that's when i plan to upgrade), provided nothing unfortunate happens...i just want to know how may others go against the grain before i decide how long willing i am to stay at 2.0V...

Seems a bit on the dangerous side to me, but i dont know cause i have no experience with amd chips. I dont think you should volt it that high...
Ask yourself, is that extra mhz worth your chip dying earlier? If it is, then go ahead.
i have post yesterday about runnig at 2v on air with max temp 60c
the answer has been too high so i just down it to 1.85v
the pc has runned stable at 2v with 60c(prime 3hours)
i think also that u are ok if u don t pass 55c maybe 60c
not sure any one can confirm what is the safe temp for 2 v ?
in how much time a chip will die at this temp?
thanks for all info:)

as far as how long it will take a chip to die..that's a bit of speculation but hitechjb has some interesting comments in his thread on this subject....i think i'll cross my fingers and see what the amd gods (goddesses?) give me.

I've been running my m2400 @2.075vcore, but my temps are a bit lower (42.5 idle, 46.5 load) using SP97 w/smartfan2 on it. The design on this particular HS is what can keep my temps withing range of those running a watercooling setup. However, I can't beef the vcore past 2.1volts like they do on wc.

RD41, howlong you been running like that? i'm just curious to see how long people have been running so i can get somewhat of an idea...thanks.

in order to get it stable around 2.6+ GHz, temperature 40-45 C load,
with medium fan speed ~ 3000 rpm.
This mobile barton needs that much voltage to get it above 2.6 GHz.
I even tested it with 2.2-2.3 V for short time benchmarking, ...., in a cold day on air.
Used 2.22 V to run some benchmarks at 2.79 GHz on air.
Overclocking a mobile Barton 2400+ to 2.6/2.7+ GHz on air (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2578290#post2578290) (page 18)
2.15-2.2 V is highest it can run stably.
High voltage alone cannot deliver stability, it needs also low temperature.
I intend to run it with 2.15 V as long as situation permits, to see any adverse effect, in weeks or months, ....
How to determine "highest" voltage and temperature for CPU overclocking (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2204162#post2204162) (page 16)
High voltage is necessary for CPU to be clocked higher.
It is necessary but not sufficient.
The heat generated under full load will be the opposing force to slow CPU down.
The balance point between voltage/frequency and temperature would give the max stable frequency.
The higher the voltage, the lower the temperature has to be.
What is CPU stability (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2581027#post2581027) (page 19)
It is NOT recommend to run at such high voltage if it is the ONLY CPU one has to run the system.
I would lower the voltage to bring the max frequency down by 200 MHz.
It is NOT recommend to put high voltage on a CPU without monitoring how frequency and temperature per step increase.
The frequency increase and temperature increase will tell you whether more voltage is warranted.
The break-even point is around 10 MHz / C at 2.5 GHz level, i.e. should not push voltage unconditionally when getting less than 10 MHz per C increase (under load).

mine has been up and running under a month right now.... burnded in @2.2vcore @1.0GHz @8x133FSB. for 24hrs. even then, my temps while burn-in didn't surpass 41c.

i just switched to 216x11.5..still at 2.0 but it's running strong so i may drop it to 1.95V....even on 1.95, i get 2.0V running under load but that's okay....
Mx XP 1700 Jiuhb runs at 2.0V i have buyed it so;)
My tems :idle 35°C ,45°C load(air cooling)without problems since one year

nice temps....i just set up a new KT600 set u w/my MSI board and with a XP modded Duron @ 200x10 @ 1.65, i'm at 42C idle with a TT2 at full tilt...

mine was running, totally stable,at 219x11,with 1,9 vcore, then about 2 month later,i needed to turn it down to 217x11,to be stable again...
atm i m unstable again(again 2 month later~) at 217x11,reapplyed as 5 about 3 times now,so i guess,high voltage slowly kills cpu´s.
perhaps i just need to reinstall win2k dont know, atm i m trieing to avoid a reinstall
temps never went over 44C...

account too the 55c load is for 85c desktop bartons, mobile bartons are 100c, so i would think dont go over 65c
i run know barton 2500+ non mobile 24/24 (gaming)
oc to 2530 at 2.1 vcore 6 month know without probleme cpu temp never go over 25c after runnig prime for 4hours
hmm...i was cosidering pushing 2.0V once i get my torin...i've got a DLT3C so in theroey that would get me a-lot of speed...
but i've gotthe problem where i'm at 1.625 Vcore at 223X10 stable, but i cant get 220X11 for the life of me, even pushing 1.8 vcore....how uch vcore do you guys need to push these that high?

ok listen i had mine at 2.1 on air yeah i got to 2.4 but its not a good idea it killed my chip now i am back on air for a little bit until new parts(mobile CPU from dad and 9800P) its OK i guess ill run my moble at 2.0 also i plan on upgrading at the end of the year also...maybe end of summer also...maybe end of school if i magicly get smart
