i was cleaning my BBA 9800pros fan with a alcohol dampened piece of cloth and accidently broke off a fan blade!

can i email ati and ask for another heatsink or should i just buy a new one?

if i have to buy a new one which one should i get?

most are probably wondering if im using the 9800pro without a fan, well currently im not using the stock fan but a fan from a old crystal orb stuck on with some thermal tape, it seems to work well but the heatsink seems to be getting a bit too hot for my liking.

Don't use any 3D apps and you should be fine until you get a new fan. If you want a new stock cooler you'd probably have to send the whole card back to ATI to avoid voiding the warrenty. If you want to add an aftermarket cooler, then you should get the Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer. It's the best cooler on the market and it's only about $20 (or less if you look around).

IF you do want to get a new stock heatsink you could call ATI, I remember when my friends VisionTek Geforce 3 ti-500 fan died and visiontek just sent him a whole new heatsink, he didn't have to send his card in. Just a thought, though I would probably go with the artic cooler just cause it will run your card nice and cool.
