just got my new ocz performance memory - 2x512 pc3200 2-3-3-6 and have it in a i865pe based m/b with a 2.8c. just for *****s and grins i set the memory up @ 5:4 and it defaulted to 2-3-3-5 and the computer felts a little speedier even though the memory speed was only 320MHz instead of 400. does the 5 instead of 6 make that much of a difference? also, would i get more benefit if running the memory in 5:4 and push the fsb upto about 210-215 and run the chip @ 3.0 than running stock speeds and have memory run 1:1?

thanks :)

5 or 6 should'nt make much difference. The higher FSB the better. Just give more vdimm. Use Sandra software to bench ur memory, you will know a real answer when u bench it. For example my memory is best with 7-3-3-3 @ 404mhz than at the next best timings @ 6-3-3-2.5 @ 360mhz.
