I'm in need of a temp sensor preferably dual channel (two sensors and two temp readings) and the hard part is i need the leads to be at a minimum 6 feet long preferably longer. Anyone know of such a device? Thanks

your best bet may simply be to buy a couple of temperature sensors and solder some extra long leads to it.

hmm for some reason i was under the impression that doing so would change the reading by adding possibly more resistance etc. If it is as easy as just soldering in an extension then i have found my answer. Thanks

length ofwire probably effectstheresistanceslightly andthereforeteh accuracy of the sensor, so eitherway urlikely toloosethe accuracy.

I'd forgotten about the extra resistive effect (way too late at night) Try to use the thickest wire possible and try to make good solder joints. Extending existing probes will probably give greater resistance bias than simply soldering long leads to new sensors. That way you would also be able to test the reliability of the new long lead sensors compared to the short lead ones.
