My setup is as it says in the sig.

i have had stability problems with overclocking. right now it is running at 11x236 (2600mhz). it passes prime 95 at priority 10 for 15 hours. Now, i think that this is definetly good enough to say that the cpu is stable at that oc.

however, windows xp still crashes sometimes while doing incredibly non cpu demanding task (like playing a movie or while having multiple browsers open or listening to music etc..) also, sometimes games crash.

my video card is not overclocked either.

anyone have a clue as to why the computer is crashing? is it just windows xp? what should i do to fix this?

Do you get a bsod, or does it just crash back to the desktop? or does it just reboot? If it just crashes back to the desktop or just reboots its usually a memory issue. Try upping some voltages

yeah its desktop

memory is not the issue tho... i have 3.3v running through the chips and i tried running at 225mhz as well and that doesnt do it

(for those of you who think 3.3v is high, it is safe and not an excessive amount for bh5 ram)

also, if it was memory, prime would have definetly failed

Have you tried running two sessions of Prime95 at the same time? Your CPU may be having multitasking issues.

i am pretty sure that i figured out what the problem is.... apparently the fans behind my hardrives have been disconnected for a while. my theory is that they had been overheating and as a result causing windows to crash (because this has only happened after the computer had been on for a while)

now that the fan is on i will post back and tell if its still crashes
