i read here that hydor and eheim pumps cause interference to the monitor if it is placed near it. do swiftech pumps also cause the same interference or are they properly shielded?
i have both my rig and monitor beside each other and on top of my desk and plan to put the pump inside the casing.
tested by rubbing a running motor all over a 21" Sony,
no effect
be cool

They can still cause problems elsewhere

As a final note on these components, we found that our pump produced a lot of electro-magnetic interference. This was most apparent in our shaky monitor and we even experienced some hard disk issues. We found the easiest solution to the problem to be to surround the pump with an old power supply cover. This fixed the problem very easily but we'll have to come up with a more elegant solution later.

the MCP600 is a 12VDC pump, the others referred to are 110VAC
