Does anybody know of any Windows-based freeware apps or utilities that can read a specific address from the system management bus?

And can they also write to registers of a device at said address?

Google has not been helpful and Speedfan only reads from the bus, it can't write to it.

What I am planning on doing is soldering an LM63 sensor chip to my 9600XT, but as I haven't got an Overdrive enabled BIOS (and don't feel like flashing another one) I will have to read the sensor chip directly from the SMBus. I will also need to program in a compensation offset for the thermal diode, and enable output filtering to reduce noise.

MBM5 doesn't support the LM63 or it's predecessor the LM86.
