heres what I know, Ill use an eheim 1250, swiftech CPU and GPU block and 1/2" tubing.

Im not totally set on those, but I donno for sure.

what Im missing is the heatcore. I planned on an evaporator, but Ive recently been pondering if this is a bit ambitious at this time(first watercooled PC). so Im thinking of going to a radiator for now. specificly the DtekJR120.

think this is gonna work well? or dont waste my time.

I would still like to eventually move to a evaporator setup, but I donno if I want to start there, or be reliant on it functioning properly to use the PC, being able to swap to a radiator might be nice...

A chevette heater core is tough to beat as far as value: many of the common pc rads sized for a 120mm fan are simply pre-modded chevette cores. ;)
You spend an extra $20 or so for restricing barbs (no barbs needed on the chevette core) and paint. MAYBE some easy fan mounting holes.

I commend your adventurous spirit :clap: but getting the hang of straight water cooling first will probably make any more extreme cooling methods you try later more effective- you will already have a handle on the basics and really know what works and what doesn't work.

I found one of mine by calling the local auto parts stores and seeing if anyone had one in stock- about 15 minutes of phone time and I had a rad for $20. :)

Ill try that, I wonder if theres any good way to run an evaporator and radiator in the series but short of valves that would probably cause drag on the flow.

have to replace the radiator and resevior with the evaporator since it will have its own resevior.
