which is a better overall proformance setting.

or
240FSB at 2.5-7-3-3

?

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!
...and the sickness:eek:

You gotta be more descriptive. What CPU is this for?

either 250FSB at 3-8-4-4 settings
= Best setting for an Intel chip

240FSB at 2.5-7-3-3
= Better for an AMD chip

It all depends on ur memory bandwith too. Usually lower latency (the numbers) are better. However Intel benefits much more from the higher FSB and clock.

OCing is a messy science. It can oly be tailored to the individual

Hi thx 4 the reply..

its actually a P4C 2.8 right now its at 240FSB 2.5/7/3/3 i have the OCZ GOLD pc3700 rev.2 ram. default vcore/2.80ram

if i go to 250fsb i need to up the vcore and set higher latency numbers.

so i dunno if its worth it

Hi silentx51,

Which mobo do you have?
I have very similar specs to yours (see my sig) and my mobo is Asus P4P800 deluxe. My 2.8C isn't prime95 stable >230FSB. :(
