i hate quicktime, but i wanna play quicktime media files

is there some way i can get winamp to play them? and get winamp to use the plugin? or something else of that sort

i do alot of downloading of videos off websites, and quicktime doesnt like it when i do that. like i try browsing through all the videos they have on their server, but arent linked anywhere so i cant go right click>save as. i used to type it in and itd ask me to save/open etc, but quicktime just plays it in the browser, which i hate. i wanna see videos that require quicktime, but i dont want quicktime taking over my system

any way to fix this? preferably without having to use another media player, although im open to the option

You could be potenetially be violating forum rule #4 (no warez) by linking that. QT Alternative is just a repackaging of the proprietary, copyrighted codecs that are included with the QT Player.

true but im assuming that you already have quick time installed so like um yeah umm yeah erm, its not really warez to begin with. Besides many legit programs that are "all in one players" use "stolen" codecs, and they havnt been shut down before.

quicktime is a free program. unless you go pro version, but who does that for such a CRAPPY program.

its not warez, its just copyright infringement. but its infringement on their part, not ours.

and thanks so much!!! NO MORE QUICKTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
