Parrallel port networking

If I use the windows parrallel port software to network 2 computers together can they share the same cable modem? Will this work or do I have to get a hub and router?thanx!:confused:

I would think it would work...though I don't know how to set it up. Probably setting the TCP/IP properties for Direct Cable connection or something. For two computers you don't need a hub..in fact that sounds like a pretty good idea (though it isn't the fastest)

Good lucky with that one b/c the speeds of parallel ports are only 150kb per sec....Not exactly your networking needs (if you even can share a modem with parallel ports) considering all new network cards are 100mb per sec... :-D
