I need some help with adjusting the voltage on my celeron 600 (coppermine) and ABIT slotket to get over 1.95 (the current max)!!
I've got the jumpers set to coppermine and voltage set to auto but in the bios I can't get higher than 1.95 and I'm not sure if taking the sloket off auto and forcing it to a higher voltage will A. work at all B. will fry the cely....??
I've got my rig stable @1062Mhz but can't do any higher (stable) without the extra volts.. I'm pretty sure I can take it to the next bus speed stable if I can only solve this problem.
Thanx

You can set the jumpers on the slocket just fine. I set all of mine to 1.95. That way while in the bios I can change from 1.4 to 2.3 or so.

I would bet that if you replaced that abit slocket with an ASUS, IWILL slocket it would run more stable. After replacing all 3 of my abit slockets, I could OC much better...

thanks for the help I'll have to just suck it up and try the jumpers....P.S. ABIT is rock solid for me so far !!

You must have gotten a good one. A lot of people have been having problems w/ those slockets, stability wise, over 950 or so. Also, I would agree w/ engjohn. I've read a lot of posts in here that state switching to a different brand of sloket allowed them to overclock higher.

However, with you running at 1062, this doesn't seem to be a problem for you...LOL Or, if it is...you've got the 1 in a million chip that will hit or pass the thoeretical 1.13GHz ceiling. (I doubt it though. I think you've just got a really good chip, and a good slocket. =))
