 Jesus I scared the s*** outta myself. I dunno why but meh NF7 really hates that BIOS set 4 some reason.

I went thru several cold boots b4 I got to the windoz splash screen. After several attempts to get into windoz I had to enter into safe-mode to flash back to D23 Sub-0

That was a close call!!

BTW I used
SATA 4247

working ok for me except for a few things-

1) Temps indicate 2c higher than D23 Subzero

2) I have a "Safeley Remove Hardware" icon in the tray-

I like the .25 vcore adjustments Tictac, would like to see .1 v adjustments (just a wish)

I think I'm going back to D23 subzero-

b)SATA 4227

Hmmmm, I was concerned about the naming of the files, since your links link to "D223D" and "D22BK" which were the D22 bioses. These did NOT have the change in SIP tables, so Sentential, if you tried for example, 230x10 or whatever, (high fsb + 10/10.5 multi), it probably wouldn't boot (probably your Cold Boot problems). I bet to get it to boot eventually, you had to use stock settings or something. I have a feeling tictac just linked to the files wrong. I went into the directory http://downloads.modlabs.net/bios/beta to see if there were any other files that might make more sense, and there does in fact exist two other files which I think he meant to link to:

4.2.27 - http://downloads.modlabs.net/bios/beta/D23-3D-4227.zip
4.2.47 - http://downloads.modlabs.net/bios/beta/D23-3D-4247.zip

I downloaded the 4227 one and I'm about to flash. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

EDIT: Okay, booted up fine at my normal 233x10. The bios does indeed have the "Overclockers" layout, although at first I thought it didn't work, since the names of each section are the same (unlike D22A1BKR2), but if you go into each section, they are indeed Tictac's OC Layout. Ran some benchmarks (3d2k1 and 3d2k3), the scores went up marginally, like 20 points, still in margin of error. Tictac, especially since the bios I downloaded has the most sensical name, and it also has a little tag at post, saying "D23 3DFire", I definitely think you just named your links wrong. You may want to edit and change that. Thanks for the good work.

<phew> That makes alot of sense now!

Although I had a hard time booting @ stock. Damn good thing she's still running strong!

Im gonna give it a shot again...

the l12 mod build in seems doesnt work as it should base on feedback... plz take note on that....

sorry guys... :(

lemak/tictac

Just wanted to let you know that we ALL love the work that you are doing with these bios's and I am glad that you got that 9800 pro no one deservices it more then you...

if you can get that L12 mod to work maybe we can get it to autosence from 166 to 200 on the load optomize settings since most have the barton 2500 pro's? Keep up the great work

^^ Its not a problem...I figured this much. The L12 blows physical bridges on both the mobo and CPU. Its almost impossible to re-create that with software.

BTW the BIOS are running great...however still no gain in OCing potential

I'm using the original D19 BIOS that came with my NF7, its not NF7-S, will I see any improvements and will it even work on my board?

Yeah, no reason it shouldn't work on your board. I would try the D23 Subzero first though, there have been less problems with that one. It's in a thread floating around here somewhere. You probably will see some improvements - I did.

Yea like johan851 said try the D23 Subzero I didn't have much luck with it but like it was proven here everyone can have the saem hardware and everyone will have a diff problem just gotta try it out for yourself, but these usually do perfourm better the the OEM not a huge night and day but more for bragging rights :)

I flashed it about an hr ago, still tweaking and such, I also noted a direct qoute from Tictac that the L12 mod in the bios isn't working at all:( , but mine is socket ,moded anyway so no biggie:)
