Hey everyone,
Currently my setup has 5 case fans, a heatsink on my mobo chipset, and a Vantc Aeroflow on the CPU. (Com specs are listed in my sig) Idle Temps are 43C for CPu and 26c for the chipset, and Load temps are 51C for CPU and 31C for chipset. The machine in general get very noisy when the CPU gets warmer, and even right now I can hear it over my music blasting in the background.
I have been looking around for a solution that would be flexible enough to allow me to do some overclocking while not totally draining my bank account. I would prefer to spend no more than $500 on a decent cooling system.
Will watercooling be a possible solution? And would I have to upgrade my case from a Raidmax Scorpio 868? And if so, what do you guys suggest for a decent setup? This is what I was looking at before:

Would you suggest any tweaks/changes?

Thanks a bunch!

you can buy some of the best stuff and cool your CPU, GPU, MOBO around $300, that leaves $200 for a case, which will prob only cost $100?

I would just read the stickies and hang around in this forum and end up hand picking each pieces in your setup. There are things in that kit you prob don't need and some stuff you can substitute.

I bought an external watercooling box which allowed me to keep my Cooler Master atc110. The box is called the v5 and it fits 2 full sized heatercores with 4 120mm fans and it also has room for your pump. I have an iwaki in it.

Ok, not trying to sound like a salesman, or broken record. And I don't work for the company. Bit here's a copy from another post I made:

I have posted before about the luck I've been having with my inexpensive Pandora WC setup. We have been upstairs living in a very small room because of reno's downstairs.

Now we have moved back downstairs, I have been able to get my mobile 2500+ running at 2.56ghz. 197x13. 1.85 volts. I could probably get it higher, but I can't get my voltage any higher, because of my MB restrictions.

Anyway, my temps are 42C for CPU and 24C ambient while running prime95 torture test.

Under recommendation of one of the other guys on this board, I shortened my tubing, because they were a bit long.

So, it is a bit of a mystery why you are having these temp problems. As the pandora kit was only $75,-

And I have 1 80mm fan on the rad. A 120mm silent lownoise fan sucking in air and a PS fan.
I'm thinking of replacing the 80mm rad fan with a 120mm silent fan, by using a fan adapter.

that techtv kit looks crappy imho, the pump is annoyingly loud, the fittings are 1/2 OD, and your only rad option is a bix or bix2, get the seperate components and put it together yourself.

I reccomend a JR-120 and shroud and fan from www.dtekcustoms.com and a aluminum top whitewater, get either a swiftech mcp600 or eheim 1250, and a t line. If you want a gpu or northbridge the new silverprops look nice and i think you can get those @ www.cooltechnica.com. For tubing just get 1/2 inch ID clearflex, probably cheapest at usplastics.com

bucken77 - Where did you get your external V5 case? Do you have any pics of your setup?
