I was using Eudora 4.1 for many years but my inbox got corrupted and it won't run anymore. I have been a Eudora fan for a long time but I am willing to try something new. The only email programs I have heard anything about are Eudora, obviously, and assorted horror stories about Outlook. Any suggestions?

I've tried both Pegasus Mail (http://www.pmail.com/) and Mozilla Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/). Both are pretty good choices.

opera's m3 "technology" is really awesome, best email program in recent memory.
I'll second Pegasus. Can't beat it as a freeware prog. BTW, I had the same thing happen with Eudora, and haven't even bothered reinstalling.

I am still debating reinstalling Eudora 6.1 but since I have to do that, I might as well look around and see what is out there. I know that it is easy to get hooked on a particular program. Email is probably my most frequently used app. I haven't used Pegasus mail since its dos days.

Vote for mozilla's thunderbird!
I've been using Eudora 6 for about 3 weeks. They've added quite a few nifty features, but it's pretty much the same 'ol Eudora ;)
If you're looking for something new, try out Thunderbird Mail from the same people who make Firefox. It didn't exactly float my boat, but you may like it.

What's new in Eudora 6?
Spam filtering, and a few other cosmetic tweaks.
I'm sure there's some stuff I'm missing.
There is also the bat (http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/) ;)

I decided on Eudora again. I have yet to hear anything really bad about it so, I guess it will do. The automatic junk think is interesting. I am a bit aprehensive about it deciding for me what is junk and what is not. Looks interesting though.
