Hi guys and gals,

do you think that it is possible to use direct X version 8.0 for windows 2000 in windows nt 4.0 ?? I know that the beta versions of windows 2000 included direct x 5.0 and 6.0 which then could be used in win nt, too. When I looked at the filename of the new direct x I saw that it was named "DX80NTen.exe" which made me wonder if it would be possible. I have windows nt 4.0 lying around here and want to test it out soon, because I want something new and something different from win 98 se.

If you know more, please let me know! :-)

NT4 sucks compared to 98SE. Stick with 98, or go to 2000. Miss out ME completely....but yes, it should work.

Thank you,

I used NT 4.0 before and I don't think that it's that bad. I'll try Direct X 8.0 and NT perhaps on Saturday or Sunday. I'll create a dual boot config NT with Win 98 SE.
