I'm still working on perfecting a system build for my Dad. This system includes a card for video editing that requires the use of an analog audio input port and an analog audio output port.

Additionally, I got him a set of Klipsch 4.1 speakers that require 2 analog audio outputs.

The motherboard I got him (Soyo p4i875p dragon 2 v1.0) had onboard audio that turns out not having enough ports. I know it's possible to just get a splitter thingie to plug 2 sets of speakers into one plug, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. Are there any sound cards out there that have 3 ANALOG audio out ports and one ANALOG audio in port?

You could try something like 'Echo Darla'(24bit). That's a more 'production' oriented soundcard. I've tested it and it has great sound quality. Google for it...

I'd like to stick mainly with Creative Labs or Turtle Beach. My dads computer has this $1000 card in it that is rather finnicky.

clicky (http://www.matrox.com/video/support/rtx100xtremepro/rec/sound.cfm)

Cards listed by the manufacturer that definately are compatible:
Creative Sound Blaster Live!
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy / Audigy 2 / Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro
Creative Sound Blaster Extigy
Hercules Hercules Game Theater XP
Hercules Hercules Fortissimo II / Fortissimo III
Turtle Beach Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Philips Philips Acoustic Edge

Cards listed by the manufacturer that definately are NOT compatible:
Hercules Hercules Muse XL
M-Audio All cards All models

I'd also like not to have to spend TOO much on the sound card as I've already spent $2900 on the system. This thing has a $1000 video editing card, 3.0C p4, 1GB buffalo pc3200, 2*80GB hard drives, 2*120GB hard drives, 8x dvd burner, high quality 19" flat screen CRT, Klipsch speakers, and logitech mx duo cordless mouse and keyboard.

I'll look up that sound card mentioned though.
