Need Help please

ok i have 3 computer at home and because i live out in the woods i can only get 56K. All 3 computer are running win XP and i was wanting to knwo how to set up one of them feed the other 2 with a net connection. Right now i have them networked together and can share files. I have tryed to set them up my self but cant get the other 2 to connect to the net.

The specific 'how to's' will depend on what OS you have.

The machine that has your dial-up is a good place to start. If you have ME or above, you can use the wizard to set this up. Basicall, the network card *must* have an IP of 192.168.0.1. You also may need to install Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) as a service in network properties.

The top two windows look fine.

On the bottom one, the gateway looks odd to me. I don't think that 1.1.1.1.1 is valid. I double checked mine to be sure. The gateway on the main rig NIC should be blank. The dialup modem will get its own gateway from your ISP.

The other two machines can have just about any IP address. The gateway for the other two machines will be 192.168.0.1.
