I hear the jet impingent one is the best. It's the one with all the holes. I think it's #5.

actually for high flow setups i believe #4 was the best

Same here, I heard it was #4 for high flow setups. :)

if you have a good pump (ehiem 1250, hydor L30, danner mag 3) then you should be able to use the #4 nozzle to achive your best temps.

I use #4 on with my Hydro L30 pump. It is really just trial and error. Try one each week and keep track of the temps. Then put them all together and compare. The one with the lowest temp is your winner. If you are just looking for a quick fix then you can't go wrong with #4 as long as you have a decent pump.

k so with a ehiem 1250 and 2 more waterblocks it wouldnt be as high flow anymore......all the reviews i've seen show #5 is better but everyone here says #4....i'd rather get a suggestion here then try every nozzle plus i'm a newb and wouldnt even know what to do......thank god for friends who can build ****

Not so simple really. The temp differences from mounting variations are likely to be greater than the temp differences from the nozzles... You would need to perform at least 5 mounts (10 would be best) with each nozzle, record and average.

k thats way to much work.....just say what nozzle ya think is best........though if you wanna do all that testing i'd be glad to go by your results lol

Basically all i was trying to say was that it would take a lot of testing to find out exactly which one is right for you system. I understand all the variables, i was just proposing an option to him on how to pick. Since he has narrowed it down to the 4 an the 5, he can either do a 50/50 guess or can just test those 2. They seem to be the favorites. I know you won't go wrong with the 4. my setup is

L30-RBX- Res-Maze (radeon 9800)-Rad

well if you got the creator of the block seyin #4 would be best with a good pump, i think it'd be a good source to rely on, but if you really want to, i guess you could test the nozzles if you're really feeling bored someday. and btw, which reviews were these seying #5 was best?

#5 the best of them all

so use #5 now? can any one explain why its better?

The #4 and the #5 nozzels have almost identical levels of performance. The difference would be almost impossible for most people to measure. The reason I personally use the #4 nozzel over the #5 is if you have a acrilic res, sometimes you can get slivers of the acrilic flowing thru your system. This is because the acrilic was drilled and tapped for the hose fittings to be installed, and getting all the "chips" out of the res doesn't always happen. I have opened up many bay res that have had chips in it. And I have opened up a couple of RBX blocks that had acrilic chips clogging the nozzle.

WTF? (sorry)
I never heared about it? but i do know that #5 works like a cascade, and sprays water on the "holes" in the RBX

I like the #4 the best out 1-4. I believe I got good load temps on the #5 but then I didn't test for long enough to let the AS5 settle in. #4 is a winner for me with 3 blocks in the loop.

actually it doesn't work like the cascade. The only thing they have in common is the acceleration of the water. The cascade directs the flow to very spacific loactions in the block and the #5 insert just pionts it in a general direction.
