Hi guys. I was just wondering which raid driver is the right one to install. It's either the silicon 3112, silicon 3114, intel, or the via driver. Which one is the right one? Thanks.

3112r For NF7-S ;)

What version driver have you got ? Im using.47 driver .
I would recomend you update your d20 bios too, I am
having no problems what so ever now im using the d23 bios ...

Yeah it's the same one :D Are you installing it from a fresh install ?

Do you have a link to the sil download site
by any chance im having a hard time finding it ...

Oh and Good luck with your install ;)

Hmm i actually just got that version off the abit site and also updated my bios to d23 and no luck. It says that "To install Windows 2000 Professional on the partiton you selected, Setup must write some startup files to the disk:

239367 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi [MBR]

However, this disk does not contain a Windows Xp compatible partition.

To continue installing Windows XP, return to the partition selection screen and create a Windows XP-compatible partition on the disk above. If there is no free space on the disk, delete an existing partiton, and then create a new one.

To return to the partition selection screen, press ENTER."

And after i press ENTER, that's it. No install =/. I'm trying to install the OS on my raid 0 setup remember? :(

EDIT: i'm thinking it's because it's on si3112r instead of a normal hard drive which is atapi or something. Is there a way to change this around?

The version off the abit site is a little out dated ill mail you the one
i have if you like ? It's only small and it's the latest version for
xp and 2k to go on a floppy ..

Im using win xp pro so i've not had any experience with
your os, And im trying to get on Nforcershq Forums to get you some help but i think it's down
for the day by the looks of it  ...

And im only using one sata hard drive so i don't know anything
about the raid setup "Sorry" :(

Doesn't it prompt you to install the sata raid drivers like in win xp
startup by pressing the F6 button ? @ the very beggining ?

Any how,
I'll have a look for some info co's im not doing anything
at the moment so im here to help :D If i can ...

"EDIT"
I sent you the latest "SATA Raid Driver 3112r Ver 1.0.0.47 WinXP & 2k WHLQ"
to [email protected] If thats right ?
